Derivatives are the financial instruments having a value that is derived from an underlying asset like the fiat currency, cryptocurrency, or commodity. The traders in derivatives can bet on the future price of the underlying asset, either as a means of speculation or as a way of hedging risk. The derivatives market is a public market for derivatives, instruments such as futures contracts or options that are derived from the other forms of cryptocurrency assets.
