This is a term used for trading one Cryptocurrency for another but without the interference of any trusted third party and outside of a cryptocurrency. Instead, a feature called “smart contract” is used to satisfy this purpose. This feature ensures that either of the two parties doesn’t become a victim of any fraud and ensures complete fair and safe exchange. An example of a platform that supports Atomic Swap is “Lighting Network”.
