It is the trade between one cryptocurrency and another. It is the combination of two cryptocurrencies that facilitates trading on the digital currency exchanges. A dash (—) or a slash (/) usually represents a pair by separating the two tokens. For instance, BTC/ETH or BTC—ETH indicates a pair between Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH). Interacting with this pair, permits a trader to purchase BTC with ETH or sell one to get the other.
