Governance Token

A governance token is defined as a digital token that is used to vote on the decisions influencing an ecosystem. In most of the cases, the organizations that permit the users control the development of their systems are termed as the Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs). Maker (MKR) is a well known example of governance token.
