The Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) is an American company that was founded in 2000 for purchasing and operating the global exchanges and clearing houses. In 2018, the ICE had announced that it would establish a subsidiary specifically dedicated to the cryptocurrency trading as well as the futures contracts depending on Bitcoin (BTC). The new company has been named Bakkt offering a wide variety of functionalities and everything revolves around digital currencies.
