It is an independent blockchain that is running its own network with the help of its own technology and protocol. It is a live blockchain where all of its cryptocurrencies or tokens are in use as compared to the testnet or projects that are running on top of the other popular networks like Ethereum (ETH). However, the Mainnet Swap refers to the shift of a crypto project from one blockchain network to the other, which in most of the cases is its own native blockchain network.
