The On-balance volume is a technical trading indicator that forecasts the price movements of a crypto asset depending on the volume flow. The OBV principle states that the 24 hour volume is deemed as “up-volume” when the price of an asset closes higher than the previous close. On the contrary, the entire day’s volume is deemed as “down-volume”when the price of the asset closes lower than its previous close.
