It is a piece of ransomware that is capable of infecting as well as spreading rapidly via a number of the computer networks. In the Windows system, WannaCRy exploits a specific vulnerability that is known as the Server Message Block (SMB) protocol. The WannaCry is seen as a key example of what crypto ransomware might look like and how it can be used to extort money. It potentially does this by encrypting the valuable files and might also lock a user out of his or her computer system.
