The internet has several versions such as the Web 1.0, 2.0 and the latest one 3.0.
Web 1.0: It is the term that is often used to describe the early version of the internet that had its origins in the DARPA or Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and became a global network eventually and represented at that time as the future of all digital communications.
Web 2.0: It describes the current state of the web that supports more user-generated content and the stability for the front-end users than its predecessor or Web 1.0. The web 2.0 does not refer to any specific technical upgrades, but rather to a shift in the way the internet is used. The second version of the web is a read-write internet.
Web 3.0: It is a new generation of the internet services that makes use of the advanced machine-based learning and the artificial intelligence to connect to the web-based applications together and form an even more personalized web.
