The situation where an investor purchases a cryptocurrency bearing the expectation of selling it at a much higher price for a profit later is termed “Long”. From this comes the longing position that refers to the situation where an investor purchases a cryptocurrency or any other financial instrument for selling it later when the price shoots up.
