The man-in-the-middle attack (MITM) is generally a term that is used for a cyberattack where a perpetrator positions himself in a suitable conversation between the two parties in the intent of eavesdropping. The same thing is applicable in cryptocurrency where the perpetrators intercept communication or modify the traffic that is traveling between the two. Encryption is a way that can protect against the MITM attacks.
