It is also known as locktime and is defined as a condition for a transaction that is solely to be processed at a specific time or block on the blockchain. It is considered as a schedule by which the crypto transactions are processed on the blockchain by the miners. Initially, the timelocks had been added by Satoshi Nakamoto, the Bitcoin crypto inventor. Timelocks can be either time relative or absolute.
