Over-Collateralization

The Over-Collateralization or OC is the provision of the collateral that is worth over enough to cover the potential losses in the situation of default. It is employed to effectively manage the risks and involves placing an asset as collateral on a loan where the value of the asset exceeds the actual value of the loan.
