Tim Cook Owns Cryptocurrency: Apple CEO In The Crypto Space

After Elon Musk, the digital currency has found the latest backer in the US business sector. As per recent news, Tim Cook owns cryptocurrency. Apple CEO, Tim Cook recently said in an interview that he has personal investments in cryptocurrencies and according to him, it is reasonable to own it as a portion of a diversified portfolio. 

Cook in an interview told Andrew Ross Sorkin at the New York Times’ Dealbook Conference that, 

“I do. I think it is reasonable to own it as part of a diversified portfolio and I’m not giving anybody investment advice, by the way.”

He further added that he has been interested in digital currency and has been researching it for a while. He however has not asserted that he invested in it. You may have wondered all these while who is the CEO of Apple. The CEO of Apple is Tim Cook, and Tim Cook owns cryptocurrency. As per a tweet made by DealBook, 

“Tim Cook of Apple reveals that he has personally invested in cryptocurrency. “I think it’s reasonable to own it as part of a diversified portfolio,” he said at the #DealBook Online Summit.

After this, you may wonder, Tim Cook net worth. The net worth of Apple’s CEO is $2 trillion. The CEO has also spoken about non fungible tokens (NFTs) and asserted that he finds those concepts interesting. But there is no Apple NFT as of now. The $2 trillion worth CEO also said that, 

“It will take a while to play out in a way that is for the mainstream person.”

Tim also spoke about the plans of Tim Cook owns cryptocurrency, who is the CEO of Apple, CEO of Apple, Tim CookApple to accept cryptocurrency as a payment method, adding that these services may be released very soon. He also stated the areas of Apple business where he will not be considering any payments through cryptos. He said, 

“I would sort of characterize it as there are things I wouldn’t do – like our cash balance. I wouldn’t go invest that in crypto – not because I wouldn’t invest my own money in crypto – but because I don’t think people buy an Apple stock to get exposure to crypto. And so, if they want to do that, they can invest directly in crypto through other means.”

Along with his interest in digital currency, Tim Cook also portrayed his concern on installing the app by using sideloading. He noted, 

 “If you want to sideload, you can buy an Android phone. That choice exists when you go into the carrier shop. If that’s important to you, then you should buy an Android phone. It’s just too risky to do that. It wouldn’t be an iPhone if it didn’t maximize security and privacy.”

Tim Cook asserted Apple has been viewing crypto, but might not provide users a way to pay with it anytime soon. In an interview with Andrew Ross Sorkin at the New York Times’ Dealbook Conference, it was found out that Tim Cook owns cryptocurrency. Even though he has not said that directly but has portrayed his concern for digital currency and said that it wishes to use it in the future for Apple.
